Color Me Gothic

I believe it is in fact on simple ribbon, laced through the middle of the ring, brought down and crossed in an “x” around the back of the key and then bow-ties around the front of the shaft. The tiniest line along the side of the shaft and the lack of ribbon flexing through the ring is the hint. :-) Best wishes!
